Do you have an IT Question that we can answer?
Being in IT solutions, we are often asked a lot of similar questions by our customers.
To make finding an answer easier for you, we have compiled a list of Frequently Asked Questions and possible solutions, which help us to serve you better.
If you have any other questions, please call us or email us.
How expensive are you?
We believe our prices to be very competitive and, once we identify the concerns your business has, would provide a detailed analysis of the best solutions available and details of cost. Businesses that invest in their IT are at lower risk from downtime and security issues enabling them to remain productive and competitive.
We’ve looked at your website – can you provide a price to support us?
Not at the start. We need to know how we can help you first before we talk about pricing. As ours is a value-added service, we need to explain to you first the services we can provide based upon your particular circumstances.
an you show us that we are getting value for money by you acting as our support team?
Yes – we can. We provide monthly reporting to inform you of the proactive tasks we have been working on remotely. We also meet with you either quarterly or six-monthly to discuss how we take your IT forward in line with your business objectives.
Can you guys provide a price for hardware?
Yes – we can but we need to know what are you using the hardware for, as there may be different options we can present to you.
I never see you guys on site – what am I paying for?
You’re paying for a proactive service where most of the work we do (around 90%) is carried out remotely. You will see what you are paying for through the tangible results we produce for you (e.g. increased productivity, low downtime etc.)
What makes you different from other IT companies?
IT support providers can be “too technical”. Understanding how your business works is crucial to understanding the IT solutions that are essential for your business. We believe our team of professionals has the right balance between technical and business experience.
Why should we choose you to be our IT Provider?
The key component to any successful business relationship is partnership working that involves great communication, trust and understanding. Choosing an IT support provider is all about choosing the right partner. Both parties need to be comfortable with each other and have a high degree of trust. In our experience, if you can get this type of relationship going from day one, then it can be fantastic for your company and iTAG.
How do I know if you are any good?
Ask our clients - speak with them and take it from there.
I have three different proposals from three IT support companies – how do I compare them?
You more than likely can’t. It’s like comparing apples and oranges. All three will probably offer different services and solutions. Don’t go on price as there will always be someone with a cheaper offer but not necessarily the right solution. Instinctively you will know who the right IT support company will be for your business.
We are looking for help in all areas of our IT – can you assist with this?
We stick to what we are good at – IT infrastructure services. We bring in experts who can assist you in the areas we do not work in. This arrangement is ideal for our client as they get great advice and support from our strategic partners who are experts in their own fields.
We currently buy a block of hours from our current provider, can you offer the same service?
Blocks of hours are reactive support and there is no real incentive for the IT company providing this service to really help you work smarter. Therefore, we do not offer this. We provide a proactive service that is based upon fixing issues before they arise, keeping your business systems healthy and your staff productive.
We are considering moving from our current provider but are concerned about a possible disruption to our business – how can we avoid this?
We will work with your current IT provider to ensure a seamless transition to iTAG. In our experience, this is never a problem, as it is in the interest of all parties to ensure there is no downtime for you.
We’re getting lots of spam emails and spending a lot of time deleting emails – can anything be done about this?
Yes – you really need security solutions that will minimise the amount of spam you receive and keep your systems more secure. We can advise you accordingly.
We’re considering a move to the Cloud because we’ve heard lots of great things about it – can you help us?
Yes, we can but, firstly, we would find out if this would be a good fit for your business. There are a number of possible solutions/options we could provide once we understand your business a little more.
Investing in current IT solutions is not an indulgence but a necessity. From our experience, the following are the most common issues for any business owner.
1. Concerns about security
2. Downtime issues due to viruses
3. Productivity of employees
4. Keeping up-to-speed with latest IT solutions
5. Ensuring data is secure and backed up
What happens next after we contact you via the website?
We will arrange to meet with you for an initial informal chat to get to know a bit about your business and to see if we can assist you. If we both agree that there is scope to develop the relationship further, we can move on to the next stage.
We have our own internal IT person but we could do with some extra assistance, can you help us?
Absolutely. We assist with projects, support and even holiday cover. We need to sit down with you first to gain a further understanding of your requirements.
Can I contact you to fix a problem without having a formal arrangement in place?
Yes – you can. Although, this arrangement does not give you the full benefit of our proactive managed service and our expertise in considering your IT strategically. However, it does allow you to see how we work and to try our services.
